Social value

Growing people, responsibly.

Social value sits at the heart of how we operate. The work we do, building confidence, employability and wellbeing, creates value for people, communities and the environment, not only for organisations.

Our commitment

Development with purpose.

For us, social value is not a bolt-on. Much of our work already creates it: closing attainment gaps in education, rebuilding confidence and work-readiness for people facing barriers, and strengthening wellbeing under pressure.

We commit to delivering across five priority areas and to measuring our impact honestly.

01

Fighting climate change

We support the UK’s legally binding net zero target and work to reduce our own footprint through low-carbon delivery, local trainers, digital options and energy-efficient venues, tracked through annual carbon reporting.

02

Creating skills and opportunity

Our employability and student programmes help people facing barriers build confidence, communication and work-readiness, and we offer discounted training to widen access to development.

03£

Tackling economic inequality

We pay the Real Living Wage, support local SMEs and small suppliers, and keep our pricing accessible so high-quality development is within reach.

04

Promoting equal opportunity

We use fair, inclusive recruitment, make confidence and professional behaviours explicit rather than assumed, and support widening participation.

05

Health and wellbeing

We foster a positive, psychologically safe culture, build wellbeing and resilience into our programmes, and support community wellbeing initiatives.

We report our progress annually, using the Social Value TOM System to measure and evidence our impact.

Commitment statement

Our journey to net zero.

We recognise the climate emergency and support the UK’s legally binding target of net zero by 2050 under the Climate Change Act 2008. As a training provider, we are committed to aligning our operations accordingly.

Net zero across our direct operations (Scopes 1 & 2) by 2030 Net zero across our entire value chain (Scope 3) by 2045 Measure, monitor and annually report our carbon footprint Partner with suppliers to reduce upstream and downstream emissions Minimise travel through local trainers and digital delivery Train our staff to champion sustainability
